NCL & NLYM Visit Beacon Pointe!

The Newport Chapter of National Charity League (NCL), consisting of junior and senior high school young women within the local Orange County community, visited Beacon Pointe Headquarters for an educational presentation on the important elements to jump start their financial futures.  Karen Sarten, CFP®, Kelly DiGonzini CFP® and Alli Hillgren, MCM introduced the several dozen high schoolers in attendance to the wealth management industry, potential career paths as a wealth advisor, and the importance of three fundamental financial concepts:

  1. 50-30-20 Savings Rule of Thumb
  2. The Power of Compounding – Don’t Wait to Save!
  3. The Importance of Good Credit

Our firm’s educational mission for the financial literacy of our future generations: Educate. Empower. Engage.  It was exciting for our team to see how engaged in the presentation our young audience was, and how they went home feeling further empowered about owning their financial futures:

“Thank you so much for speaking to our NCL class tonight. I thoroughly enjoyed your informative presentation. Tonight I learned how important it is to not have debt and how it’s never too early to start saving!” – NCL Member in attendance

Then…

We had a fun, surprise visit from the National League of Young Men (NLYM)!  At the end of the fun and informative evening, the young men of NLYM surprised the NCL group of young ladies with roses for each chapter member and an invitation to their upcoming dance.
